Terms and Conditions of Use

Welcome to Weave Adventures. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and Weave Adventures ("Company," "we," "us"), a company registered in the United Kingdom.

By subscribing to or using the Weave Adventures platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

1. Pre-Contract Information & Key Terms

In accordance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, the key features of your contract are:

  • Subscription: Monthly rolling contract.
  • Price: £4.99 per month (inclusive of VAT where applicable).
  • Auto-Renewal: Your payment method will be charged automatically every month.
  • Termination: You may cancel at any time via your account dashboard.

2. The Service

Weave Adventures provides an AI-powered interactive storytelling platform designed for children and families. The service uses third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to generate text and image content.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

3.1 Age: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and purchase a subscription. The stories generated are intended for children, but the account must be managed by an adult guardian.

3.2 Household Sharing: You may share your account credentials with one (1) other adult partner (e.g., spouse, guardian) solely for the purpose of managing the subscription for your immediate family.

3.3 Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details. You may not sell, trade, or transfer your account to any other person.

4. Subscription, Billing, and Cancellation

4.1 Fees: The subscription fee is £4.99 GBP per month. We reserve the right to change this price with at least 30 days' notice via email.

4.2 Payment: Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By providing your payment information, you authorise us to charge the subscription fee automatically each month.

4.3 Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account settings and selecting "Cancel Subscription."

  • Grace Period Access: If you cancel, you will retain full access to generate 30 stories until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • Post-Subscription Access (Read-Only): Once your billing cycle ends, your account will revert to a "Read-Only" status.
    • You will retain access to your library to view and read stories you have already generated.
    • You will not be able to generate new stories, extend existing storylines, or access other premium features after your credit balance reaches 0.will not be able to generate new stories, extend existing storylines, or access other premium features.
  • Reactivation: You may reactivate your subscription at any time to resume story generation.

4.4 Inactive Account Deletion: To manage storage capacity, if your account remains inactive (i.e., you do not log in) for a continuous period of six (6) months while in "Read-Only" status, we reserve the right to permanently delete your account and all associated story library data. We will attempt to notify you via the email address on file at least 14 days before any permanent deletion occurs.

4.5 Refunds & Cooling-Off Period:

  • Statutory Right: Under UK Consumer Law, you have a 14-day cooling-off period starting the day you subscribe.
  • How to Exercise: To request a refund, please contact support@weaveadventures.com.
  • Pro-Rata Deduction: If you have used the service (e.g., generated stories) during this 14-day period, we reserve the right to deduct a proportionate amount from your refund to cover the value of the service provided up to the point of cancellation.
  • After the 14-day cooling-off period, payments are non-refundable.

5. Intellectual Property & Content Rights

5.1 Your Content: You retain ownership of the ideas and prompts you input into the service ("Inputs").

5.2 Generated Stories: As between you and Weave Adventures, you own the rights to the stories generated by the AI for you ("Outputs").

5.3 License to Us: You grant Weave Adventures a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, and process your Inputs and Outputs solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you.

5.4 Marketing Restriction: We will not use your specific Inputs or generated Stories for public marketing or promotional materials without obtaining your prior written consent.

5.5 Our IP: Weave Adventures retains all rights to the underlying platform, software, code, logos, and branding.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

To ensure a safe environment for all users, you agree NOT to:

  1. Generate Harmful Content: Use the AI to generate content that is sexually explicit, violent, hateful, harassing, or illegal, specifically including any content inappropriate for children.
  2. Jailbreak/Hack: Attempt to bypass the safety filters or "jailbreak" the AI models.
  3. Scrape: Use automated scripts to collect information or stories from the Service.
  4. Commercial Use: Resell, lease, or license the generated stories or access to your account to third parties. The service is for personal, non-commercial family use only.

7. AI Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

7.1 AI Limitations: The Service uses Artificial Intelligence. You acknowledge that:

  • AI may "hallucinate" or generate incorrect information.
  • Despite our safety filters, AI may rarely generate unpredictable content. Parental supervision is required.
  • Stories are fictional and for entertainment purposes only.

7.2 Service Availability: We rely on third-party providers. We do not guarantee 100% uptime and are not liable for downtime caused by these third parties.

7.3 Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weave Adventures' total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7.4 Exclusions: We are not liable for any indirect loss, loss of data, or loss of profit. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law or our service. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
